The Board of Directors of the Hellenic Vitreoretinal Society announces the scholarships to be awarded during the 19th Panhellenic Congress.

Colleagues who receive awards in the special competition sessions, as well as those who achieve the highest scores in the EBO examinations, will have the opportunity to attend major European congresses (EURETINA, FLORetina, and COPHy), with registration, accommodation, and travel expenses covered.

The 2024 scholarship recipients will be:

• Three colleagues who participate in the Quiz organised by the Hellenic Vitreoretinal Society during the Congress and achieve the highest scores.
• Two colleagues who receive awards in this year’s Case Report Competition, as selected by the audience and the Society’s judging panel.
• Two colleagues for the best oral presentations.
• One colleague for the best e-poster.
• Three ophthalmologists who participate in the two EBO examinations (May and October) and achieve the highest scores among the Greek candidates.

Academic Year 2024–2025 Scholarships

The Board of Directors of the Hellenic Vitreoretinal Society has decided to offer scholarships for the 2024–2025 academic year for postgraduate studies abroad in surgical retina and ocular oncology (choroid and retina).

The scholarships will be awarded to ophthalmologists accepted by recognised centres abroad. The Society will provide each recipient with a monthly allowance of €500 for one year.
